Out of interest?

As in what was the final bill (Bearing in mind did it include stamp duty/search fee, this fee and that?)

Thanks!

hi, i work for a solicitors firm and we charge set fees for the work we do. our prices depend on the purchase price of the property. for a house under £100k I think we charge about £250- £300 plus search fees etc but i know some firms who charge by the hour and in our area the hourly rate can be between £150-£250! i think our highest charge is about £1,000 but thats for a mega property. (these are just rough ideas cos i dont work in the conveyancing department)

here (south west) on property up to 200k fee is £475+vat plus searches/filing fees. total comes just shy of £1000. basic fee goes up with property value.

dh is mighty glad we didn't win the bidding at auction last night as these extra costs really wind him up.

I am in South London and fees here are from £525 + VAT +searches to £900 + VAT + searches. I have chosed the cheapest, he is veeeery slow but I hope all get's done in the same way at the end of the day.
