Valuation - can an EA give a fair valuation on a place that is not quite finished?

We are doing some internal renovation. Some rooms are finished, some have loose ends and some are just empty boxes waiting for carpet, paint, etc.

Can an estate agent give a fair valuation of what it would be worth when finished? If we showed him/her a finished room and said the rest of the place will be done to the same standard? Or will the unfinished state put the valuation down?

Well, I don't know but when you see them on TV on property programmes they say, if this house were finished to a good standard, it will be worth £££... Get three agents in and see what they say.

Furnishings/carpets etc. don't really make much difference to a valuation but if by "loose ends" you mean decoration, electrics and things like that, then it may be difficult for your EA to give you an accurate valuation.

Tbh though valuations will be quite vague in the current market so if its only a couple of rooms it shouldn't be too much of an issue (providing its not kitchen/bathrooms)
