Using general market info to value a house...

How do you work out what the current value of a house is, based on its previous selling price? So a house that sold for £500k in 2006 is now, based on market movements, worth £x? Are there websites that do this for you, depending on where you live?

Yes there are a few websites that do it for you, Nationwide, HBOS, Zoopla & HPuk?
