armchairs that have not been upholstered? I am decorating and can't find chairs to exactly match my scheme but it seems crackers to buy a finished chair then re-upholster it.

Have looked on e-bay at older chairs but am not sure about what I would be getting. I just wondered if there was a company out there where you could supply your own fabric.

You could get one cheaply from a charity shop of the British Heart Foundation maybe?

Go to the tip. Ours has a massive furniture shop where you can get lovely stuff for peanuts. I have recovered lots of things I have bought from there and it is so satisfying to do

have you visited a sofa warehouse? You may be able to supply your own fabric and if not, they have hundreds to chose from (designer guild, nina campbell, etc). Also, I think a few companies have sprung up that make custom covers for ikea sofas and chairs. You could try googling for that.
