hi all

i thought i had finally decided which paint to use in my south(ish) facing living room - craig and rose swedish blue. However, i have just painted a few splodges on the lining paper which i am taking off - and it looks a lot darker than i thought it was going to!

So i am begging asking other m'netters if they have any ideas on craig and rose? I love F & B, but not sure pennies would stretch that far at the moment - and i do love the effect of the C & R! I like the blue/grey effect of swedish blue, its just too dark as an overall. Has anyone used anything lighter??

Many thanks

If you really like tone but it is too dark get another empty paint can, pour half in, mix with half as much white paint (am assuming it is all matt emulsion), stir very, very well then stir some more and apply. If it is still too dark, add more white but always keep a note of how much so you can replicate the "recipe" if you need to touch up (always best to make too much and have plenty left over for redecorating, if you can).

thanks lala, i am contemplating that. I have now got 'study room blue' up as well (good job i am stripping all the wallpaper lol) and that looks ok so far - DD is saying it looks too grey for her - but she's only 12 - what does she know lol!!
