Anyone made interlined curtains?

Oh my god I've just bought silk, lining and interlining, just googled interlining to see how to make interlined curtains and i just don't understand what I'm supposed to do!!!

I have made basic lined curtains before (eg lining slightly smaller than main fabric, stitch side seams, apply header tape etc) but I'm not sure if i'm supposed to do this with interlining too, or if the seams will look really bulky?. Or am I supposed to stitch lining and main fabric together and then stitch smaller piece of interlining to the normal lining? Or to the main silk fabric? It doesn't help that the curtains are going to be massive bay window ones and i'm really afraid of doing it wrong and ruining them!

Instructions in an idiots guide style would be really appreciated! thanks

This is right outside my comfort zone so can't help

I've only ever made lined curtains, but my ancient book of "Homemaking Crafts" gives instructions that the interlining is attached before the lining. If you can't find online instructions, I can post them for you.

Thanks both. Hopefully someone will be along with some experience, otherwise I might take you up on that offer Lilymaid, thanks
