Soffit boards - what kind of money am I looking at to replace?

Our wooden soffits are looking awful and need replacing.
Dh had said he would do them but after injuring his back in a fall from a ladder has now said NO WAY.

I hate getting workmen in, as I always feel they are out to rip me off - so any ideas on price would make me feel a little more confident.

(we have a small 2 bed end of terrace)
Thanks

We've just had ours done, on a largish a 3 bed semi.

We were quoted about £300 to replace the soffits (wood), but in the end we went the whole hog and replaced all the guttering and drain pipes too. Cost £800ish, iirc.

fascia, soffit and gutters here cost £900 iirc. average 3 bed

Thanks - did you go with a double glazing company ?

No, I found they weren't very interested in this sort of job. I went for a roofer in the end.

get lots of quotes.

everest (or company like it) quoted us £3,000 that dropped to £1,600 after half an hour or so .

we used local independent roofer in the end.

wouldn't have known where else to look other than double glazing companies - thanks will check out local roofers
