anyone had their house repointed?

Mine needs doing and I've no idea how much to expect it to cost. I'm in an average sized 3 bed semi-detached. I've just rung a couple of places to come and give estimates, but would like to have some idea of costs in advance so I know if they are being reasonable or not!

I haven't but I followed a van (in Leeds) with "average 3 bed repointed from £795" now I can't remember if it said semi or not. I was shocked at the price but I suppose it is a very fiddly job and time consuming.
