I have accepted an offer on my house.

After an afternoon of very stressful phonecalls and negotiations, a row with a rather useless estate agents ( they forgot to turn up for the buyers final viewing) we have accepted an offer.

Less than we would have liked but not far off. It feels like we are back to ground zero as we are taking less out than we put in so have a year of hard saving ahead of us. But it feels good to be moving forward.

No packing? Fantastic!
God, the relief must be immense.

Nicky...it is, but you never know. It only takes one buyer. Will keep my fingers crossed for you.

Congratulations!!!
How long were you on the market for TSAP (if you don't mind me asking)? We've been on since end Jan & I am pig sick of it all already

Congrats!! We were on in November: sale fell through during crash. On again since Feb, another (shaky) offer fell through. Finally under (solid sounding) offer as of last week, and hoping thats it.

And very much hope thats it for you, too!

Twinset I'm so pleased for you!! We were on market for 2 years so I know how stressful the selling business is - especially with other issues to make it harder too.
really hope the next few weeks/months are plain sailing for you

It was me that started the thread asking if you had sold yet, I am really pleased for you TSAP. (had been away for 2 weeks over Easter).

Selling a house must be the most stressful thing ever.

Glad you can move on. Are you going ahead with the house at auction?

twinsetandpearls · 28/04/2009 18:28

No we are not.

Our mortgage offer ran out and the terms we were offered were not as good. We want to hold on another year, save more money and get a better deal.
