House has been on the market since the end of Jan & we have had 17 (yes SEVENTEEN) viewings but not one offer Have another viewing tomorrow. We have a ridiculous amount of competition nearby, as within just a minutes walking distance there are 7 similar houses on the market. We have had positve feedback from the viewers & the EA said there is nothing we can do to improve the house, but most people think it is too small. It is a 2 bedroom cottage. Have dropped the price once & feel we are definitely priced right when compared to the other properties on the market. Getting so cheesed off & STRESSED to high heaven with it all. Anyone else feeling the same way???

Can you add a link to your house and others close by? We might be able to let you have some ideas - it works for others!

Twinset - you're needed over here...

Aaaah, I feel your house-not-shifting pain. This was my thread a week or so ago here It's a bloody nightmare. We've actually had a couple of viewings in the last week but STILL no offers.
Have you seen somewhere you want to buy? If you haven't what is your plan if you do sell, would you go into rented?

I always think loads of photos help as then nothing is a surprise.

They have the toom dimensions so they know how big/small something is.

Can you get rid of any furniture to make it seem bigger?

Link would help but would understand if you didn't want to do that.

We are about to put our house on the market and we are currently looking at what is available to buy (and have been for about 3 years!!! just so we could get a feel for what things were on for and then selling for)

Not keen to post a link. The EA said the couple who looked round today liked the house, we will know for sure when he speaks to them on Monday for feedback. They liked the garden - I wanted to put out the garden furniture this morning but we couldn't find the shed key, have now found it at the bottom of out little ones changing bag! So at least if they come back for a 2nd viewing the garden will look even more enticing then they found it.
KirstyandPhilsLoveChild, no we haven't seen anything we like within our budget yet so at least we are not desperate to sell ours in order to secure another property...probably a good thing as if that was the case I would seriously be tipped over the edge I hope you get some good news soon, it really is demoralising.
Fizzylemonade, we have photos of all the rooms on the brochure/website together with a floorplan, so there are no surprises in store. I must admit the sofa in the front room is rather on the biggish side but it would look ridiculous without one & we have nobody to borrow a smaller one from unfortunately. Good luck when you put your house on the market, I hope you sell quicker than us!!
