we have split our bedroom into two rooms.

the room had two light switches that both operated the two ceiling lights in the bedroom, rather than one light switch for each light.

now we have split the room, we want to change the light switch so one light switch only operates hte one ceinling light.

dh has taken the covers off and he is pretty good with this sort of stuff, but he is flummoxed by the wiring. both switches have the same wiring so we can't tell if there is a 'dominant' or master switch, whatever you want to call it, that the other 'feeds' off, or if there should be a connecting wire instead.

there is the big green and yellow wire, and then the smaller brown wires.

anyone give any advice how we caqn split the light switches?

quick responses would be great as we've gt the light switches off etc....
