Can someone help me with estimates of some of the costs when moving house?

Specifically, removal costs (3 bedroom house - lots of stuff though!) and solicitors fees. We're not there yet but I'm working out budgets. Thanks

4 years ago in London we paid £750 ish removal fees (moved about half a mile) from small 3 bed house to little bit larger 3 bed house

and

about the same for solicitors, and it was a fairly straightforward freehold to freehold sale.

Sorry I can't be more up to date than that.

the solicitors take a percentage of the sale of the house usally btw £400 - £1k
there is stamp duty
you might need a HIP - £300 - £350
survery - btw £300 - £500
removals around £500 - £1k I think

removal costs - £600 included packing
estate agents - 1% of sale price
stamp duty - 3% (aaaaaaaaaaaaaghhhh)
Solicitor - about £800 IIRC

it cost around £13K for us to move

I think it cost us about £8k on a £250,000 house

removals, no packing, from 3 bed bungalow to 3 bed house, half a mile away £650

Oh thanks for those! Any other ideas on Survey costs? Are the more expensive surveys worth it?
