well, i'm sure you'll get used to it.

we had some laminate layed as part of another job. and the guy put it across the room, vs down the room.
Dh and i both felt it was wrong and got it changed.

Not sure how long it will take for you to forget it- but oyu do need to you know

NotAnOtter · 12/03/2009 21:03

what is wrong with it?

NotAnOtter · 12/03/2009 21:08

oh i would unclick it all then and change the one plank

TracyK · 12/03/2009 21:15

Let it get dusty - you'll never notice it!

Our guy put ours down and I made him put all the 'imperfect' ones under where the couches were going - he did - bar 1 and like you it caught my eye.

Now it's so covered in dog hair these days - I never notice.

Are you doing a rug? coffee table that you could place strategically?

or make the rest of the room so wow - that it takes your eye away.

NotAnOtter · 12/03/2009 21:16

oh god nappies!

I have suggested this and been told a resounding 'no' as it is fairly central with a fair bit of floor this side of it

floor is tongue and groove and nailed together

in that case ignore it - ignore it and soon you will be looking for it rather than it looking for you - enjoy your new floor

NotAnOtter · 12/03/2009 21:21

what a lovely solution nappy

( adopts it as new mantra!!!)

SoupDragon · 12/03/2009 21:32

NAO, was it you who ended up with an orange pine floor in a bedroom or was that someone else?

NotAnOtter · 12/03/2009 21:36

YES!!! It was me soupy i feel doomed

the builders obviously think i am odd- they laugh it off in a kind of 'silly blonde' way whilst I am upstairs fretting

life is too short

get a grip Otter

Thought so! You don't have much luck with wooden floors - have you considered carpet??

NotAnOtter · 13/03/2009 21:19

feeling marginally better

floor being sanded and finished tomorrow so i am starting o panic again but seem to have gained some (unususal) perspective on the matter!
