Can anyone offer me any advice about the Bexley Heath area?

Currently living in central London, but we are hoping to move out in the next year. My family is in Kent, and DH will carry on working in London, so we are thinking of a move to the London/Kent borders so that he will not have a major commute.

On paper, Bexley and Bexley Heath look nice - good schools etc but I have never been there and don't know anyone who has! Advice much appreciated on the area/things to do/best schools etc.

There is a difference between Bexley and Bexleyheath. I think Bexley is more rural - there are some lovely parts of it, my friend used to stable her horse around there. I think Bexleyheath is more your London suburb sprawl with plenty of semi's etc and good transport links if that is what you are after.

I think it has a grammar school system too. Bromley/Orpington nice too.

Thanks, yes Bexley looks more rural - not sure if I am ready for such a leap yet though!
