Moving to Malvern

We currently live in Brum, but have taken a liking to Malvern. We are seriously considering a move, but I'd like some views as to the pluses and minuses.
I have read OFSTED reports on the Infant/primary schools - anyone got first hand experience?
Any recommendations on good places to live and places to avoid. Really need to be close to train station and actually would liek to be central....
Warts and all views please!

awful. full of old people and obnoxious public school kids. i should know, i used to be one of them.. and on my way to becoming the former. but really hope it dont end up in an old peoples home there. i always thought it was completely cruel to have so many old peoples homes in such a hilly place

ROFL womble, there are also a lot of terrible news reports that come out of Malvern; murders etc. I think there must be a bad side of town, hidden from tourists. Although saying that, it seems that this is a slow news week in Malvern

I like seeing the hills in the distance.

People who have been educated in Worcestershire private/public schools obviously turn into wombles given there are 2 of us here . Must be something in the water!

We got married in Malvern (MIL is from there, but they moved to Worcester when she was 4 or so).

I have always fancied it, but am worried it would be too quiet for us city types...

I miss hills B h a m is so flat- it's just not right!
