Anyone have the aga metal plinth ?

is it ok or do you have a tiles one?

Did you get your builder to make you one?

anyone love/loathe theirs?

Thanks

er think that AGA provided a metal one when they installed it.

It's black and the AGA is cream so no complaints and not given it a thought in the last 3 years. Last house had an AGA on a quarry tile plinth that was not loved by me.

HTHs

maplepecanplait

it does help actually- if you have not really noticed it but actively disliked the previous one then that is a thumbs up as far as i am concerned

my builders want the plinth in place before they lay the floor so i need to get a move on and with a million and one decisions to make for the builders -this is one i can do without

thanks

sure that our floor was laid then AGA came and plopped AGA on top. Seemed quite simple in a very time consuming way.

What colour is yours?

lovely!!

We are all shorties here 5'3" me and DH is about 5'7" and plinth fine for us.

However I wonder if the plinth may be adjustable to cope with wonky floors etc. Although I am sure your floor will be bang on horizontal they can't all be can they??

Pushing the price up at the mo is a bit cheeky isn't it? I would have thought their sales would be a bit slow right now or perhaps it's a bit of a premium thing that doesn't get affected by normal markets. mmm

Our Aga is on a 4inch concrete base, which we painted cream to match the concrete hearth surrounding it (don't know why there weren't any tiles on the hearth but it was just concrete so painted it)

got the letter from aga today to tell us about imminent price rise.. 3%

aga price RISE???
are they serious?

made our own plinth from a rectangle of red bricks that we then filled with self leveling concrete

NotAnOtter · 05/03/2009 20:59

3% rise in march

think we might be having a tiled plinth and you can make it a bit higher that way
