House on the market a fortnight ago.

We put our house up on the market, in this dreadful market.

Been up a fortnight, officially only just had the estate agent details through to approve and send back.

Had one initial viewing the first day it went up with the website.

Haven't had any more viewings or interest. Do we need to be concerned or drop the asking price.

Not yet, but give the agents a call and find out what they are playing at with the details.

Well I have emailed them and the details are getting sorted.

The house is on the internet and their own website now.

We have requested to have no board up as there doesn't seem any point as you don't pass our house looking to buy a property.

I just worry that we haven't heard anything else. I have left keys with them and make sure that the house is clean and tidy whenever I go out, but come back later on in the day desparately checking the answerphone.

Are you happy with what has gone up on the website? i.e. lots of good photos, detailed descriptions incl. room/garden sizes etc. If not, nag them until you have what you want. Some agents seem to put the bare minimum on and it's not very enticing for buyers.

Also do you have an 'optimistic' asking price? Is it the same as similar properties in your area that have been on the market for ages without selling? That would be an indicator you need to drop the price. Was reading an anonymous EA's report the other day who said in his area homes that are priced 25% off peak tend to sell within a few weeks, 40% off get snapped up. Not that those figures are necessarily the same in your area.
