Oven fitting?

Ridiculous question I know, but if we buy a new built-in oven to replace our crap one, who would we need to fit it/remove the old one? Electrician? Kitchen fitter?

Some are simply plugged in, others need to be wired in so you will need an electrician. If it's a plug-in, it's just a question of sliding it into the space and using a couple of screws to fix it to the housing to keep it stable.

thanks. if it's a plug-in (the one we have is, i think), can we just do it ourselves?

Yes. Plug it in, slide it into the housing then open the door and you will see a few holes at the front (normally covered by door) where the screws should go. Honestly, it is absolutely foolproof.
