Are rental prices in London going down?

Has anyone negotiated their rent down recently on renewing the tenancy agreement?
We are due to renew our tenancy. Would it be realistic to negotiate £100 down from what we currently pay?

Depends what you currently pay but, yes, London rental prices are falling (for big corporate lets) and wobbling a bit for less flashy places.

We currently pay 1400 for a 2 bed and it's not a corporate let. We have had a 100 increase last year and I was wondering if it would be realistic to try to negotiate back to 1300.

IF that is per week then absolutely renegotiate - and I'd say for more than just 100. Have been looking at flats in central london and all we have looked at are going for several hundred pounds a week under asking price. Have friends who just renegotiated a 1500 a week 3bed down to 1250 a week. Flats like these are sitting empty now so your landlord probably won't want to take the risk of finding new tentants.
