White Gloss Kitchens - do they discolour?

I know there is a previous post on white gloss kitchens but my query is slightly different.

I was wondering if anyone knew whether white gloss kitchens are likely to discolour over time?

My partner and I had decided on a white gloss kitchen for our new house but then the mother-in-law has told him that they go yellow in time, especially around the oven area, and now he isn't keen!!

I think it will be okay as long as I clean it regularly but can anyone put my mind at rest?

I fitted a white gloss kitchen in 1994 to my house - we sold it a year ago and the kitchen was still as new I just changed the out of date door knobs from gold to chrome. Didnt yellow at all.

Yes. I have a white gloss kitchen and the cupboards above and next to the oven have definitely discoloured and also 'warped' (probably from the heat of the oven).

... and I do clean it regularly. The cupboards on the other side of the kitchen are as white as when first installed.
