I'm relocating to Surrey soon and I'm bored shitless of property searching!

3 bed, nice area and within commuting distance from Guildford and London.

Its a big place , you need to give an idea of money availble else you'll have a very long list!

Zebraa · 27/01/2009 20:56

yes, even in this recession the houses haven't dropped that much. Its about £100k per bedroom IYSWIM.

You might need to find a less popular area (no train station) and a house that needs some work.

I like the kitchen in that area. DP is prepared to go to £320 but that would skint us - which scares us both.

Try around Leatherhead/Ashtead or Woking ie this

Ewe · 28/01/2009 10:16

Hi Zebraa!

Come to Epsom...

Here or this one is the typical style you'll prob need to look at. I think you can look around 300k and offer down tbh.

This is closer to budget.

some lovely properties here

Niecie · 28/01/2009 10:25

Camberly or Farnborough. Both good for Guildford and Farnborough has a mainline station with fast trains to Waterloo.

It is also far enough out to be a bit cheaper than some of the other options.

How about this or this or this

Farnborough town centre is not up to much but we used to go to Camberley 3 miles away if we wanted serious shopping. Good transport links and schools though. Camberley also has good schools.

what do you mean by decent size?

Can you show us a couple that are not a decent size so we can gauge

Alos you should be looking at the £325 mark and making an offer I would think in this market

CountessDracula · 28/01/2009 10:28

how about this

CountessDracula · 28/01/2009 10:29

this is nice and big!

CountessDracula · 28/01/2009 10:30

this looks like it has loads of potential and walking distance to train for commuting

Zebraa · 28/01/2009 10:32

Some really good homes here, thanks girls! I've saved them to my favourites list to show DP tonight!
