have you tried Tarkett floorings?

They are cheaper than amitco but are nice.

lino?

you can get Karndean on the net and can easily be fitted yourself.

Some homeware stores do vinyl tiles and as long as you use an anti-fungal and waterproof sealant all should be good

Can it really ?
I'm being quoted £1300 for fitting the actual Amtico isn't too bad.
Dh is crap at DIY but in all honesty I'm prepared to let him have a go to save that sort of money.

AMtico you have to order and they supply it to fit a pattern. Also its not guaranteed unless you use an authorised fitter. Karndean is basically lino planks and a lot cheaper

TBH from what I've seen of guarantee's and insurances lately they aren't worth the paper they are written on, our floor has collapsed and apparently that's not covered by buildings insurnace, the only way it would be is if a pipe has burst, which it may have but we have no way of knowing until we dig out the concrete, which they will not pay for.
Seriously wonder why we pay extra for guarantees etc.
Will have a look at the Kardean though, thank you.

its just a lot of money if it does go wrong/wrongly measured.

I agree with regard to insurance not worth the paper its written on. Good luck
