Draft through doors - what can we do?

We get quite a bit of draft through our front door and am wondering how to deal with it, save doing major job like adding a porch.
DH had bought a draft excluder for the gap that runs along the length of the door (top to bottom) but excluder is too thick.
Any suggestions to keep us from freezing or going bankrupt from heating bills?
