is the tank thing filling up fully?

scrooged · 19/01/2009 20:02

Have you looked at the water level inside the top of the loo? Is it filling properly after you flush?

MatNanPlusAbroad · 19/01/2009 20:02

After a flush does water still run down the bowl sides?

southeastastra · 19/01/2009 20:04

scrooged · 19/01/2009 20:06

Is it blocked and not emptying? Limescale in the u bend or a log?

southeastastra · 19/01/2009 20:08

no, it only lets a little of the water in the tank into the bowl, not the whole lot iykwim

Is it full? Is it emptying properly when you flush? Flush the loo and watch how quickly it fills? Check the overflow, is there anything coming out of it? Maybe the pressure's low because there's a leak???

tiggerlovestobounce · 19/01/2009 20:32

It could be the siphon. It sounds a lot like what happened to my toilet when the siphon began to stop working (and then it wouldnt flush at all).

southeastastra · 19/01/2009 20:39

nothing coming out of the overflow and it fills as quickly as always.

seems like i'll have to get a plumber in
