We used a wholesalers based in Wrexham (Goodfellows) here and found separate person to lay floors to keep costs down. We got solid teak for less than £21 sq/m so it was definitely worth doing it that way - about £13 sq/m to lay.

We bought some fab solid oak flooring from B&Q on their 20% off day, and got someone else to fit it. It looks like he type of floor you would find in an old school, and I love it.

Thanks not sure I feel that confident doing buying and fitting separately

What I found when I was looking for people to supply and fit was that the suppliers emphasised very heavily that they could recommend a fitter (obviously someone who works for them all the time) but bottom line was that they were a separate business etc etc etc. So it seemed we would be paying more to do it that way and not getting any guarantees/back up. It is worth asking about if you do go for supply and fit...
