Does anyone commute from Ashtead in Surrey to Sutton or central London?

Is it as easy as it looks?

My Dh did it for 4 years. He found it pretty easy

I commute from Epsom (the stop after Ashtead) to London and have done for about 8 years. it's dead easy, lots of trains etc.
