Has anyone had their house frontage power washed?

Our house is quite old (built 1860s) and the brick has become quite grey and discoloured and looks a bit depressing.
Was wondering about having it power washed (less powerful than sand blasting I think).
Has anyone had this done, with good results?

I think you would have to be everso careful because powerwashing could so easily blast out your pointing.

Have only used our powerwasher to do the patio and paths surrounding the house btw.

We were looking at having it done by professionals - one company has quoted and assured me that it doenst damage pointing, though of course they woudl say that...
They have done some local houses and it looks amazing, was just interested to know if anyone had had it done and what they thought of it.
