Sash windows - anyone had them refurbished inexpensively?

Tried Ventrolla but got messed around and they were hideously expensive anyway. They need re-cording and un-rattling!

Not inexpensively. I could have bought a small island for the price I paid for replacement sash windows when I lived in a conservation area.

I think it was the Sash Window Company in Glasgow. You should be able to get them re-corded relatively cheaply by a local joiner.
