We're going to have our kitchen fitter round tomorrow to do the tiling and to hang a couple of doors for us.

We went to B&Q today to choose replacement doors and ended up leaving with a couple of Bracknell doors (very nice half glazed), right size as I'd mesured them twice!!!

However on taking them out of the car we discovered that they're a centimeter THICKER than normal doors or at least thicker than the doors we intended to replace. What can we do?? I can't get to B&Q to change them tomorrow as I need the seats down in the back to get them in and I'll have DS2 in a car seat with me.

Help!!! Any suggestions??

Move the doorstop a bit. Just asked DP and that's what he reckons. Our new doors were thicker and that's what he did.

Oh thank you!! Phew I felt like such an idiot!

We wanted a double glazed door between the lounge and the conservatory as it's so bloody cold! I guess it would make sense for a double glazed door to be a bit thicker.

Ooops, hope the joiner will be happy doing that extra bit for us.

I reckon he should be fine. Like you say - you need something thicker. All snug in time for Xmas

OOOoooo, lucky you...I dream of a conservatory My dp builds them and does everyone elses houses up - and ours is still 'work in progress'!

Oh dear

you're gonna need to knock a couple of walls down you know...not going to be cheap...

jean DON'T get a conservatory!!!!!

Having wanted a conservatory all of my adult life I now have one and if I could swap it for a brick built extension I most certainly would. It's so cold that we cannot use in November through to March!

Bloody waste of space and money IMHO!

Awwwww...NO! Don't tell me that!!! I see now why my DP spends so much time putting under-floor heating in them!!!

crazy you know my DP? - that's a fab impression
