Can any clever MNer help me with a lighting conundrum?

I bought a gorgeous large light shade in an online sale for my hall pendant light.
Except [genius] it's a standard-lamp shade and so the fittings are the wrong size
Do you know if you can buy an adaptor kit or similar to fix it?
TIA

Can't help but wanted to say "Morning!"

If you mean that the hole is too large to be clamped into the bit that holds the bulb, you can get adaptors from Ikea for 20p. If you don't live near an Ikea, CAT me and I will send you a spare as I bought several last time I was there.

Olivia, may I ask where you found the shade? I am searching for the perfect hall shade and it seems to be rather elusive ...

Sorry - meant to say also - you should be able to get hold of an adaptor in any lighting shop or even a branch of Laura Ashley.

Hi PC World
Interesting I can get from LA as that's where shade was from

Ha ha Olivia, I have actually got said shade in my front room already! You have such good taste

Try Ikea, their light fittings are always bigger than UK standard ones so they stock adapters (little round pieces of metal to fit around the light) to make them fit
