V.Young Pilot looking for Room to rent/B&B recommendations near STANSTED

Very good church friend of ours (aged 19) has recently started first job as 737 pilot (think he is youngest qualified pilot!!) and will be based from Stansted for 2 months, maybe longer.

As all his money has gone on training, can anyone recommend a cheapish place/room/B&B to rent short term??

Anyone want to rent a room to nice uniformed young man?

Yep, 19! He is a first officer at the moment and hopes to be full captain by age 23.

i met my pal who is now a training captain after he flew over to brum about 6 weeks ago, and he looked mighty fine in his get up - never that good at school certainly

I'm 15 minutes drive from Stansted - I'll ask around for you. When is he likely to need the room? asap?

Just asked dh if we could put him up here, but he thinks it would be mean to ask our au pair to share the house with another person - not sure that au pair would agree

Yes it's asap (he starts on Monday), but he needs some flexibility as can be posted abroad whenever. It's a long commute from his family home.

haven't stayed there myself but my dad lives just round the corner and it always looks nice when I drive past it.

I'm fairly sure its the B&B I stayed at a few years ago. Very clean and comfortable and the owner is very friendly.

Have you looked in the Herts & Essex Observer - always lots of rooms to rent in there.
