Anybody thinking of selling in Rugby?

We have been drawing short straws with estate agents. We are cash buyers (money in the bank, so no delays) and looking for 4 bed detached (or three bed but extandable) in Rugby, preferably in Hillmorton area (others considered).

I know it's a bit of a long shot, but worth a try.

My neighbours were selling, if that helps?

KatieDD · 08/12/2008 19:18

Put notes though the doors of any houses you like the look of, that is how we bought this one.

two threads goin here...I am confused, TRy Wolston, nice little village, Stretton on Dunsmore, lovely village, Cubbington, Binley Woods is very handy, close to amenities but still feels like a village, I know there are some nice houses for sale there at the moment

goldenpeach · 09/12/2008 15:23

Thanks, sorry for having two threads, I just don't know what to do... stick with Rugby or go somewhere else. Villages are not an option. We want a town.
We put notes through the doors but although we got some viewings, we still found people were expecting us to pay the prices of last year, when the market was good. My partner is a financial consultant and he won't touch anything overpriced, especially now that the London market has collapsed. Even expensive areas like the Cotswold are cheaper now. Why are people in this area so unrealistic? We have sales data and nothing pricey is selling.

I know what you mean, people are not being realistic but I guess people who sell at the moment are either desperate or don't need the money because everybody knows properties have lots loads in value. I think you should look at Binley Woods? Its in bewteen Rugby and Coventry, comes under Warwickshire Council.
I will try and do some links?

have no idea what style you are looking for or price bracket but here are a couple:

dont think I did those links right lol

goldenpeach · 12/12/2008 17:35

Nope, they didn't come up, we are looking on rightmove, I wonder if there are other sites... I might start a thread...

OP posts:
chocolatemummy · 13/12/2008 14:46

sorry that was rubbish of me lol. Think rightmove is about the best site especially if you are sure exactly which area. Connells have their own website and they have branches throughout warwickshire.
