Does anybody know what Penzance in Cornwall is like to live in with young family. Are Cornish people friendly in general? We are looking to relocate from London, but a bit worried about kids fitting in at school.

Penzanze is full of blow-ins (non locals) I haven't lived there but I had friends who did. She lived in a lovely Victorian terrace minutes from the sea. Her child was very very bright and she loved his local primary.
We fancied moving there as seemed a great mixture of seaside town with a proper decent working feel to it, rather than a picturesque tourist hotspot with no substance IYKWIM. Lovely parks and museums and shops. My two boys (who were then 7 and 10) roamed around by themselves happily and safely.
Bumping in the hope a local will find you

it's awful, and I'm talking from experience, no life, no jobs and is a complete dead end town. Lived there for 20 years and moved 5 years ago.

Penzance is a shithole

now full of second-homers putting a veneer of nice-ness on it, but essentially rubbish

can I ask how you plan to make a living?
