Imagine how quiet the neighbours must be.

House in an "interesting" location

I have to say it wouldn't bother me.

I could have GREAT hallow'een parties though. Would scare the shit out of the kids!!!!

kiltycoldbum · 28/11/2008 17:54

castlesintheair · 28/11/2008 17:55

I lived in a house as a child which had an old Abbey in the front garden and was next to a church and cemetry. Very quiet

Flibbertyjibbet · 28/11/2008 17:55

We live in an old cemetary workers cottage and its lovely.

NinaMyers · 28/11/2008 17:55

It wouldn't bother me either. Neither of my brothers would ever visit me though, they both have an irrational (imo) fear of graveyards.

Ah! Memories...

...I used to live in a nurses' home in Queens Hospital (now demolished) adjoining this cemetery.

(Given the reputation of Croydon hospitals, I imagine this juxtaposition was deliberate)

...I would think that this was about the nicest place to live in Thornton Heath.

Thornton Heath is, I think it is universally agreed, a grade A shitehole less than salubrious. Even the so called 'pond' is simply a roundabout on the A23....

chequersandroastedchestnuts · 28/11/2008 18:11

Is that a 3 bed detached in London for that price?! I'd live there!!

LadyLauraStandish · 28/11/2008 18:43

Yes, Thornton Heath is hideous.

The house is sweet but I dread to think how many drunks and yobbos and gangster druggy types avail themselves of the location in the evening!!!!
