I dont even know whats the norm having always done everything ourselves.
This time we would love to get someone else in to do the work but we would need to know a ballpark figure to see if is even feasible before we start getting people in to do quotes.
It would be stripping walls and painting. Do they charge by time or space or what and how can we guess where to start?
Thanks

It depends on size of house, number of rooms, area you live in and state of walls currently. We had a decorator in London who painted our three bedroom flat, interior only, freshly plastered walls for £2k. He was a perfectionist and probably should have charged more because it took him ages.
