eggshell paint

I've been told that I need to get eggshell paint (I want a matt finish) for some MDF selves and cupboards that I get getting built.

I want it to match the existing colour on the walls - this is what I have at the moment,
Crown Solo One Coat Interior Matt Emulsion - Fireside, is it the right stuff??

No, what you have is matt emulsion, what you need is eggshell which, I believe, is oil-based. If the MDF is currently unpainted, you will need MDF primer in order to make any paint stick to it properly. MDF is very porous and water-based paints tend to just be absorbed.

this is eggshell, they have more colours in store than are listed here.

Do you think that they will colour match?
