Can anyone please advice how to hang a very heavy mirror. It weighs 17.5 kg, and I haven't a clue how to hang it. What do I need?
Please!
TIA!

What are your walls made of?
I would suggest the appropriate rawl plugs?

Hi, the wall is made of bricks with plaster over the top, I think.
The mirror has hanging straps on the back, would cord be ok?

Specialist rawl plugs, that are particularly for the wall you have. (Normal ones may just pull out, you might need those ones that flare out)

Not cord, it can fray - use picture wire. You can get it in different sizes so will probably need a thick one.

I have a HUGE mirror and I hung it on coach bolts and heavy duty wire. It's on two bolts, not just one, to spread the weight.

Coach bolts work like rawl plugs but they're steel rather than plastic. If you go to B&Q, they have different weights on the packets so you know how much weight they'll bear

Thanks all, going to put dinner on, will go to B&Q.
