Noddyholder (haven't seem you around for a bit actually), Expat ....etc etc

do you think the market will continue to fall despite the interest rate cut?

will it have a bit of a boom now because of it?

Offer it! Nothing wrong with giving estate agents a heart attack.

I am as impatient as anyone, but keep reminding myself that we are going to be paying the mortgage every month for potentially 25 years, so it does matter.

Hence I don't hold with this 'oh if you find your dream house you must buy it as you will be living there for 30 years and the value dropping doesn't matter' business. Yeah, and paying the mortgage every month too. It will matter to you if you're paying £1500 a month when if you'd waited you could have been paying £900 for the same thing.

We want to buy next year too. Never bought before and are on a key worker scheme as i am a teacher. We have been given a limit of £155,000 and i don't want to spend that much but we live in a v. nice area. Have rented for so long. Would like a mortgage of as little as poss ( yes i know, of course we all would) but we are never going to earn masses. I know nothing about the housing market but am hoping that house prices do come down more - finally people like me and DH might be able to afford to buy our own home.

dinny JM great minds think alike eh or maybe that should be dinny's dh!

I can't believe what a voice of reason Vince has shown himself to be in financial matters recently

sara hope this doesn't put a spanner in the workd but I don't think keyworker schemes will last although hopefully it's because they wont need to!
