MDF

We are getting some MDF cupboards and shelves built in our living room. I want to paint these the same colour as the walls (red). Can we use the normal emulsion or do we need to get some other paint? I don't understand MDF.

TIA

YOu need to prime MDF with special primer which you can buy in B&Q, then its best to use eggshell or gloss rather than emulsion as a top coat as it will last much longer.
