We have an electric shower and I've noticed that teh casing is loose and I assume water can and probably has been getting intothe casing. Dh reckons it will be watersealed inside too but I have no idea.

Anyone know?

bump

also do you have to have an electrician fit a new electric shower or is it a job you can do yourself?

I'm not sure about your first question, but having seen the inside of my shower I wouldnt want water sloshing about in there.
Fitting a new electric shower is definitely not a DIY job IMHO due to water and electricity both being involved .

Thanks I think I'll have baths until it's soted - although we do have an airlock that means we have to run the shower into the bath to fill it at the moment!

Just asked DH for you.

Most are not sealed inside

You need to be a qualified electrician to fit an electric shower now. DH is so I get ours done for free

Thanks. Any idea now how much an electrician charges to fit an electric shower?
