We've just put a deposit down on one, eeek!!!

Am so excited!! Trouble is I can't decide what kind of tiles to go for. The work top is going to be slate laminate which is a marbly grey/ black one.

Any ideas anyone??

Please don't flame me, we've spent a lot of time saving for this and we can only afford it due to my husbands hard work over the last five years. We're not spending money that we can't afford.

Tiles are out. If you can get a splashback to match your worktop (just one tile height, kind of 'wraps' itself up the wall from the worktop) that's the way to go. Then, add a stainless steel or glitzy glass splashback behind your hob.

stainless steel splashbacks here, very reasonably priced.
