I have tried MrMuscle and white spirit both to no avail.

Methylated spirits? It's purple.

Right, thanks. Does that definitely work and is it available at the supermarket?

Well most stuff is removed either with white spirits or methylated spirits, so if you've tried one and it doesn't work it's worth trying the other. What surface has it splashed onto? You don't want to remove the surface beneath the splashes if, for example, it's splashed onto wood floors or table top. You can buy it in hardware stores, sometimes chemists, maybe supermarkets, maybe camping shops.

Ok I'll give it a go. It's on a lino floor.
