Help, what do I need that looks pretty to join laminate floor to wood?

Annoyingly we have laminate on our landing, but the stairs are lovely stained pine. When the floor was fitted they didn't put any edging between the laminate and the top step, so the boards keep pushing out onto the step.

We need to fix them somehow and hide the join, ideally something attractive.

Any ideas?

Thanks, that wouldn't work though. We need something that sort of wraps around the laminate and the lip of the top step, iyswim.

I'm not sure I get you!
The usual thing to hold laminate in place is cork. This is because it can expand and retract in the warmer or colder weather.

Other than that, I dont know I'm afraid!

Could you jsut rip up the laminate, sand and vernish the boards and put a nice runner/ rug down?

Can you tell I hate laminate?

If you go to B&Q or similar you can get those edging strips for carpeting for between doors , they do them for allsorts ie carpet to tile. everything. You might get something suitable.
