New windows

It seems so cold in our and ds bedroom. We already have ( fairly old) aluminium double glazing but thought about changing for improvement. We have had a got a quote for new uvpc windows but another company said they wouldn't be much different so suggested secondry glazing on top of the old double glazing. Does anyone have any experience/ advice with this?

Thanks

It might be better and cheaper to have frames draught-proofed.

we are too mean to put new windows in our freezing old house but i've been told it's easy to do secondary glazing yourself, and cheap and effective too. i'm shivering here tonight so i may get down wickes asap. it seems worth a shot, especially if you just to 2 rooms to see what difference it makes.
