I'll need approximately 5.5 metres for my new kitchen. Cheapest I've found so was was around £1,200.

A reclamation yard?

I think I'd rather have new, but thanks for the suggestion.
Any recommendations? Someone must have stone worktops.

www.granitetransformations.co.uk

it's a 5mm solid marble placed over existing worktops - looks like huge money spent but cheap - you can get a quote online. If you don't have existing worktops you could buy the cheapest, yuckiest ones and then fit lovely marble over it.
