Has anyone got a Jewsons catalogue for doors?

They don't seem to show their products on the website...and I need external french doors, 2140mm high by 535mm wide.

It seems an impossible quest though - but I can't afford nearly £2k to get them made.

Have you tried laporte?

Can you go for a standard size set of doors and have the frame made to match, maybe with a sidelight/fanlight combo to take up the extra space?

are you sure they are only 50 cm wide?

SaintGeorge · 27/09/2008 14:40

I was assuming that was each, so total width of 1070mm for the pair.

That is still v narrow for french doors.Maybe its 1535?

They are quite narrow.
The existing frame - which incorporate two big windows and two little opening windows as well as the opening doors in the centre, is in place, and in good nick. They are the originals in the house (20s / 30s semi). And yes - each door is 535mm.

Of course, they were made long before metric - and are taller than most I have found so far on the 'net - will have a look at laporte!

I need a new back door, too - and it seems it is thinner than modern doors - aaargh!
