Need kitchen replacing. Anyone had theirs done recently/ seen a nice one you'd recommend?

Never got round to replacing ours in the end before we moved, haven't got round to doing our new one yet but when we were looking, MFI and Moben and suchlike were shite on quality. Magnet was a wee bit pricier but the quality was light-years apart. Ikea kitchens seem to be getting better and better.

We got our new kitchen (in April) from Magnet. It's lovely. Ikea kitchens are nice too but depends if you want really modern or a bit more traditional

I got quotes and plans from a range of companies - Magnet, MFI, and three 'handbuilt' ones of varying degrees of poshness.

Then I drew up my own plans with a local carpenter and got him to build it.

We ended up with a handbuilt wooden kitchen for the price of one from Magnet - although this is a more time-consuming approach.

(Must get round to finishing the tiling and blinds).

DONT go to Magent and have friends who have had dreadful experience and several hundred people accros the UK are taking legal proceeding against them as we speak including my friends there are forums about it....
We actually got our kitchen from B&Q last year and the fitter (somebody we know well) said it was really good quality, they upgraded all their units a year or so ago to improve quality. Depending on how modern you want to go there is a gorgeous red or black gloss slab kitchen in B&Q or Ikea and a nice chocolate brown wood one?

Have small(ish) budget. Builder recommends Howdens (I know trade tend to favour it as can get deals I believe)...saw this option 2 boring? whatdoyouthink?

We've just had this option fitted. In fact, we have only the tiles to go! We love it.

it should be option 3, studio sicily with glendevon cream.

We've had ours fitted as part of our conservatory extension. We had 70% off the units and were offered 40% off the appliances, but got a much better deal on the appliances elsewhere.

We had a nice one from MFI - installed for fours years by the time we sold the house and people who viewed thought it was newly done (I honestly told them the truth)

ours is Ikea and is lovely. It's the high gloss white with a massive oak worktop. Howdens did a price for me (via the builders) but I got the feeling the builders must be doing pretty well out of the deal as I didn't find it exactly cheap. Ikea were at least half their price and just as good.

Having a new kitchen fitted at the moment. We chose Homebase in the end. They have a good choice from modern to traditional. We went for contemporary verona oak. It is lovely. Builder impressed with quality compared to others he has fitted.

We are having a granite worktop next week, cant wait!!!!!!
