A kitchen cupboard question

We've just moved and the fitted kitchen cupboards above the work top are too high. Dh says they aren't (suspect he doesn't want to move them down) so I was wondering how high are your cupboards - waht's the distance from work top to bottom of cupboard?

If they are standard tall kitchen wall units, the ideal height is about 55-75cm from worktop to bottom of unit.

Thanks for the info, mine are 67cm above the worktop but 55 would be perfect for me to reach the top shelf. will have to try and get them moved down abit. I'm sick of having to shove a stool around to get up on so I can see what I need from the top shelf!
