if you can hang on I will ask dp when he gets home from work ... he has his own glazing company and fits upvc doors etc as well so I can ask him for you if you like!

dp is asking what you are trying to achieve? are you trying to fit a new lock to an existing upvc door?

no the strike plate (or whatever it's called) broke and i need to fix the new one in place

aah ... he says you should be able to re-use the screws that came with the broken striking plate but if not then your best bet is to look up your nearest upvc fabricator or supplier in the phone book and get the correct ones from them! If you are in north London or Herts he may be able to get them for you!

oh thanks! the screws i think have died because when i was trying to fix the plate they just kept going round and round. i am in south herts.
