seriously worried, as we cant get insurance for flooding that has an excess of less than 15 thousand. and if th eplace floods again, then the walls, furniture, flooirng will all need to be replaced.
any advice appreciated.

Interesting question, but I'm guessing that all those with any experience of the subject are currently busy mopping up their kitchens!

We renewed with our exisiting insurers and the price was ok.

We renewed with existing insurer.

We didn't have much choice as the flood claim was still ongoing at the time so no other company would even consider us.

Went up about £50 IIRC. Excess remained the same (£200).

I have heard of a lot of people locally though who struggled to find a decent policy without a ridiculous excess. The council stepped in and made arrangements with some companies to offer policies.
